Ruth Ann Anderson

Since graduating with her MFA from California State University at Long Beach, Ruth Ann Anderson has built a successful graphic and web design business. She began teaching in the Digital Media Art Departments at both California State University in Northridge and at Orange Coast Community College in Southern California, where she continues to teach today. Ruth Ann's art and written work have been featured in several art books highlighting noted women artists. She has received numerous awards, grants and public art projects and recently completed a life-size sculpture for the Metro Rail system of Los Angeles. Her artistic concerns extend to social and cultural issues and her work frequently reflects this. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Woman's Building, an art and cultural center in Los Angeles active from 1973-1991. Ruth Ann is an exceptionally talented design educator, and she maintains a web site featuring her student's work that is truly inspiring.
