Chuck Groth

Chuck Groth has been a professional graphic artist since 1978, and has worked on staff as a designer and illustrator at the Kansas City Star, the Wichita Eagle and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and as Director of Groth Graphic Design, a design and illustration studio. His clients include McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft, the Associated Press, Purina Mills, Adriatic Travel, Willow Music, Hallmark Cards, The American Heart Association and the Washington Post, among others. He has taught package design at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri and is currently an Assistant Professor of Graphic Communications at St. Louis Community College.

A graduate of the University of Kansas, Groth studied with some of the most prestigious artists in the graphics field, such as Ann Willoughby (principal of Willoughby Design Group and Director on the National Board of the American Institute of Graphic Arts) and noted illustrators, Thomas B. Allen and James McMullen. In addition to teaching full time, Groth has served as a Graphic Communications advisory board member, faculty sponsor of a student AIGA chapter and graphic design club, and written college courses in package design.
